At the 41st Leadership Lounge, it’s all about the metaverse, as our world becomes more and more digital, virtual and augmented reality more and more familiar. But we often lack sound background knowledge: What exactly is the metaverse? How did it come into being? What potential does it have? We bring light into the darkness and share insights from science and business with you.

As always, we have invited specialists to attend: Prof. Dr. Philipp Rauschnabel, Professor of Digital Marketing and Media Innovation at the Universität der Bundeswehr München, will give a keynote on “Augmented Reality and Metaverse”. He is one of the most renowned researchers in this field and will give us an overview of the current state of research and future developments.

The following is a brief look at the Metaverse experiences of our business experts. One of these experts is Dr. Sebastian Klöß, Division Manager in Consumer Technology, AR/VR & Metaverse at the Bitkom. He explains the connections between Blockchain and Metaverse and provides useful practical tips.

Another guest is Adrian Waltenrath, Product Owner of the Metaverse project at DekaBank. He most recently helped develop Deka’s presence in Decentraland and reports on how the securities house of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe approached the topic of Metaverse.

With Lukas Karwan, CEO & Head of Content at Lumium GmbH, you round off the theory with a practical experience. He works with teams in virtual worlds to improve their collaboration. To give you an insight, he has prepared a virtual reality experience for you. For the VR sessions, places are limited, so register as soon as possible for the time slot at 5pm or 8:30pm.

In the final panel, you can share your experiences with the experts.
