Growing Together with SINA in Uganda
Learning happens when people take responsibility
The partnership between Seminaris Hotels and the Social Innovation Academy (SINA) connects people, ideas and perspectives across borders. Since 2024, we have been creating learning opportunities that go far beyond traditional training programmes.
The exchange allows young talents from Germany to take responsibility in a completely different environment and experience entrepreneurship from a new perspective. At the same time, young talents from Uganda gain practical insights into the German hospitality industry through Seminaris Hotels.
The result is a shared learning experience that not only transfers knowledge but also helps people discover and develop their own potential.
„My time in Mpigi changed the way I think about resources and creativity. Beyond the valuable personal connections, I returned to Germany with ideas that I can actively apply in my daily work at Seminaris.“
Learning through exchange and practical experience
The cooperation between Seminaris and SINA is based on a structured exchange programme that was launched for the first time in 2025.
During their stay in Mpigi, Seminaris participants worked alongside local teams on innovation projects, exchanged experiences and explored different approaches to entrepreneurship, self-organisation and social impact.
In return, representatives from SINA visited Seminaris Hotels in Berlin, Potsdam and Lüneburg. They gained insights into hospitality operations, shared their perspectives and participated in discussions and collaborative projects.
This created a true exchange of ideas in which both sides learned from one another.

Entrepreneurship as part of personal growth
SINA follows a unique approach by empowering young people to identify social challenges and develop sustainable solutions and social enterprises of their own.
This mindset strongly connects with the way Seminaris understands development. Here, too, growth means taking responsibility, recognising opportunities and turning ideas into action.
The exchange programme demonstrates how entrepreneurship, creativity and social responsibility can work together regardless of background, culture or life experience.
Creating impact beyond the journey
The first edition of the programme has already demonstrated the value of international exchange. Participants returned with new perspectives, greater confidence and a deeper understanding of intercultural collaboration.
Many of the ideas and experiences gained have since influenced projects, training programmes and daily operations within Seminaris Hotels. At the same time, local partners benefit from hospitality knowledge and practical experience shared through the exchange.
Based on these positive outcomes, Seminaris plans to continue the partnership and establish it as a long-term component of training and development across the company.
