Pergamon Museum

New Museum

Since 2009, the Neues Museum has housed the Egyptian Museum and Papyrus Collection with the bust of Nefertiti, the Museum of Prehistory and Early History with objects from the treasure of Priamos as well as parts of the Collection of Classical Antiquities.

German Museum of Technology

The Deutsches Technikmuseum (German Museum of Technology) offers you a multifaceted spectrum of old and new technology and its many references to the cultural and everyday history of mankind. With daily demonstrations, visitor activities and guided tours, the German Museum of Technology is an interactive place of learning and experience. An extensive library on the history of technology and the historical archive complete the offer.

Museum of Natural History

The Museum of Natural History in Berlin is the largest natural history museum in Germany, alongside the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt and the Alexander Koenig Zoological Research Museum in Bonn.

Kienberg Park

The Kienbergpark, named after the Kienberg in Berlin-Hellersdorf, is a 60 hectare park with a 1.5 km long cable car completed for the IGA (International Garden Exhibition) in 2017. Keep an eye on everything as you float over the heads of other visitors.

Schorfheide Game Park

The Schorfheide Game Park is just an hour's drive from Berlin in the middle of the forest. Hundreds of square kilometres of forest - some of which even belong to the UNESCO World Heritage - invite you to hike and relax.

Grunewald tower

From the Grunewald tower you can enjoy this panorama. The western outskirts of Berlin are green - here in the middle of the Grunewald is the 55 metre high Grunewald Tower. From its viewing platform you have a wonderful view of the forest, meadows and water - the ideal photo spot.

Citadel Spandau

The Spandau Citadel is one of the best-preserved Renaissance fortresses in Europe. History comes to life here as you roam the grounds of the citadel.

From the old town of Spandau you can reach the citadel in only 10 minutes on foot. The former military fortress from the 16th century is today a place where countless cultural events take place: Medieval festivals, music festivals, theatre and exhibitions.

Fête de la Musique

The idea for the Fête de la Musique came from France. Since 1995, this festival has also achieved cult status in Berlin. Within the framework of the Fête de la Musique there is an exception for street music, so that amateurs and professionals of all musical styles can present their skills without a fee on public streets, squares and green spaces from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. free of charge.
The festival runs through all twelve Berlin districts. Locations where you can discover a lot with short distances are Spandauer Altstadt, Revaler Straße in Friedrichshain, Karl-Marx-Allee, Friedrichstraße, Unter den Linden and Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.

The Berlin International Film Festival, or Berlinale for short, is an annual film festival held in Berlin. The film festival is now one of the most important in the world. Within ten days, the Berlinale shows up to 400 films of various genres and genres. Around 300,000 tickets are sold to the public.

Berlin Marathon

It is the largest one-day sports event in Germany. Over 40,000 runners from around 120 countries traditionally take part in the Berlin Marathon every September. The 42.195 kilometre long course passes many famous sights such as the Siegessäule, the Brandenburg Gate, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Berlin Cathedral and the television tower.

Festival of Lights

Every year in October, numerous buildings and squares are bathed in a new light from 7 p.m. to midnight. Thus also well-known sights like the Brandenburger gate or the Berlin cathedral become exciting again and pull also old-established citizens of Berlin from the sofa.
