From Reservations to Rooms Division Manager
How the journey started
Hello, I’m Richard — or simply Richi. Since 1998, Seminaris Hotels Hotel Nürnberg has been much more than just a workplace for me. Over the years, it has become like a second home.
My journey started in reservations. Over time, I had the opportunity to take on different responsibilities, gain experience and grow together with the company. Today, I work as Rooms Division Manager and support many different aspects of daily hotel operations together with my team.
What I appreciate most about my role is its variety and the close collaboration with people throughout the hotel. Every day brings new situations, challenges and opportunities to improve things together.

Why collaboration matters to me
For me, great hospitality is all about teamwork. Together with my colleagues, we shape not only operational processes, but also the atmosphere within the hotel.
Over the years, I learned how valuable trust, open communication and collaboration on equal terms truly are. Flat hierarchies especially make it easier to contribute ideas quickly, take ownership and develop solutions together.
Every contribution matters — regardless of position or role. That spirit of collaboration is what makes our work so special to me.
What I learned at Seminaris
During my time at Seminaris Hotels, I experienced how important trust and development are for personal growth. Having the opportunity to take responsibility and explore new challenges strongly shaped my career path.
One particularly meaningful moment for me was being offered the position of Rooms Division Manager. This appreciation and trust in my abilities motivated me to continue growing and developing professionally.
Even today, that same feeling continues to inspire me: shaping the future together with others and actively contributing to the development of the hotel.
