From Apprentice to Head of Front Office & Reservation
How the journey started
My journey at Seminaris Hotels began back in 1996 with my apprenticeship in hospitality at our hotel in Lüneburg. Those early years were filled with valuable experiences, inspiring people and a steep learning curve. During my apprenticeship, I worked across eight different departments and gained a broad understanding of the hospitality industry.
After completing my training, I first moved to our hotel in Bad Honnef to work at the Front Office before continuing my journey in Hamburg. There, I spent several years working in reservations across different hotels — both operationally and in leadership roles. Even during that time, my connection to Seminaris always remained strong and eventually brought me back to Lüneburg.
From there, my career continued to evolve step by step: from a temporary Front Office position to Assistant Front Office Manager and later Front Office Manager. In 2019, I joined the Revenue Team and gained entirely new perspectives. Since 2022, I have been working as Head of Front Office & Reservation — a role that was created together with our management team to further strengthen collaboration and development across our hotels.
Today, I especially value the combination of experience, trust and continuous development. I enjoy connecting proven approaches with new ideas and actively shaping the future together with my teams.
„Seminaris trained me, grounded me when necessary, listened to me and trusted me. I was given the freedom to grow — even through mistakes.“
Growing through trust and flexibility
Seminaris Hotels has supported and shaped my professional journey for many years. What mattered most to me was always the trust to work independently and organise my own responsibilities.
I appreciate the opportunity to work remotely, visit our different hotels and stay closely connected with my teams at the same time. Communication plays a key role in my daily work — both within teams and across locations. Seminaris creates the freedom and flexibility needed for people to work independently and take ownership.

Developing new perspectives
During my time at Seminaris, I not only learned a lot professionally but also learned to rethink many things. Organisation, structure and communication became especially important parts of my development. At the same time, I learned to trust my own methods and further develop my personal leadership style.
The openness within the company and the creative exchange around ideas, processes and new approaches continuously helped me grow — both professionally and personally.
Why growth becomes possible at Seminaris
My personal learning journey started with a strong apprenticeship and continued through trust, honest conversations and new opportunities for development.
At Seminaris, I experienced how important motivation, freedom and mutual trust are for personal growth. This culture enables people to take responsibility, contribute their own ideas and shape their own path within the company over the long term.
Looking ahead
For the future, I especially carry forward trust, openness and constructive communication. These are values I also want to pass on to my teams.
My goal is to provide orientation, support and new perspectives for people working in Front Office and Reservations. The motivation and ideas of my colleagues inspire me every day — and I am excited about everything we will continue to achieve together.
