From the Galley to the Control Centre
How the journey started
My name is Jaqueline, and I have been part of Seminaris Hotels SeeHotel Potsdam since 2015. In my role as Team Support, I work across many different areas of hotel operations — from occupational safety and sustainability to accounting, apprentice training and projects connected to our organisational transformation.
This variety is exactly what makes my daily work so exciting. Hotel life constantly brings new situations, challenges and topics to explore. As a result, I continue learning and developing both professionally and personally every day.
At the same time, I work closely with many different teams and support wherever help is needed. This combination of organisation, collaboration and operational work is what makes my role so special to me.
„Together with my fantastic team, I’m not only shaping everyday life at Seminaris SeeHotel, but also helping shape the future of our hotel group.“
Why personal growth matters to me
Another important part of my work is my role as a mentor in our internal DREAMS! mentoring program. There, I support colleagues with personal goals, changes and new perspectives.
Through this experience, I constantly realise how important trust, openness and honest exchange are for personal development. People need spaces where they can experiment, reflect and discover their own path. That is exactly what I want to support.
For me personally, development has also become a continuous process. Through meetings, workshops and projects, I regularly reflect on my own work and try out new ideas. Often, this leads to discovering skills and strengths I did not even know I had before.

What I learned at Seminaris
At Seminaris Hotels, I learned how to work independently while remaining open to change. I can organise many of my tasks autonomously and actively contribute to both everyday operations and larger projects within the hotel group.
What I appreciate most is the freedom to simply try new things. Not every idea needs to be perfect from the beginning. What matters more is being open, learning together and continuously improving.
This mindset makes my work diverse, inspiring and personally meaningful.
Why Seminaris became a place for growth
For me, working at Seminaris Hotels means much more than simply completing tasks. People are encouraged to take responsibility, explore new roles and actively shape their own development.
This creates an environment where learning is never finished, but starts again every single day. That is exactly what still makes my journey at Seminaris so exciting today.
