From Sales Professional to Sustainability & CSR Manager
How the journey started
After more than 20 years of experience in international hotel sales, I was excited by the opportunity to help reshape sales at Seminaris Hotels as part of the company’s strategic transformation. At the same time, sustainability became an increasingly important focus within the organisation.
What fascinated me most was the question of how sustainability could be integrated into processes, decisions and everyday hotel operations in a meaningful and practical way. I wanted to actively contribute to that development.
Since 2018, with the support of external consultants, I have been responsible for building, implementing and certifying an environmental management system. To deepen my expertise, I also completed additional qualifications as an Environmental Officer and ISO 14001 Auditor. Step by step, sustainability evolved into an entirely new professional focus for me.
As the sustainability area continued to grow, I eventually handed over responsibility for the Sales Team in 2022 to fully dedicate myself to Sustainability and CSR management.
„Seminaris gave me the opportunity to reshape hotel sales during the company’s transformation while bringing my passion for sustainability into focus.“
Growth through trust and freedom
Seminaris Hotels not only opened new opportunities for me, but also gave me the trust and freedom to shape my own path. The flexibility to work independently and remotely helped me further develop my role with a high level of ownership and responsibility.
For me, sustainability is not just a professional topic — it is a personal passion. That is why it means so much to actively contribute to sustainable development within the company and help create long-term impact.
In addition, I was given the opportunity to support smaller privately owned hotels and tour operators in the field of sustainable sales and share my experience beyond Seminaris as well.

Personal growth and new perspectives
During my time at Seminaris, I not only developed professionally but also grew personally in many ways. One of the most important lessons for me was learning to approach challenges with greater calmness and letting go of perfectionism.
This shift helped me embrace change more openly and see new situations as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles.
Why growth becomes possible at Seminaris
The culture at Seminaris Hotels played a key role in making my personal learning journey possible. The freedom to work independently and the openness towards new ideas created an environment where growth is actively encouraged.
This combination of trust, responsibility and creative freedom allowed me to grow beyond my previous role and develop entirely new perspectives for my professional future.
Looking ahead
For me, sustainability remains a continuous learning journey. As standards, expectations and opportunities constantly evolve, there will always be new areas to explore and improve.
I therefore plan to continue expanding my qualifications in sustainability topics such as GHG accounting and EU taxonomy. At the same time, I want to keep supporting smaller businesses in overcoming fears and uncertainties around sustainability and making sustainable development more practical and accessible.
